Strategy development
- regarded by many as the ultimate discipline, mocked by others as mere mental acrobatics. However, no company will be successful without a vision of the future. Every successful company pursues a strategy — either consciously or subconsciously.
Developing strategy is a management responsibility, while consultancy supports the process from the methodological aspect. By targeted guidance it ensures the quality of the results of the strategic discussion and guards against traps.
Implementation of the strategy
This is effected by a structure implementation architecture of measures which complement one another. Often the new strategy leads to a process of change management.
The reorientation of companies and divisions generally begins with an in-depth analysis, combined with an evaluation of the trends, opportunities and risks.
The resulting decisions on positioning in the internal or external environment, the targets derived from it and the definition of the procedure represent the core of a strategy.
However, there are also other successful ways of developing a strategy. Those who intuitively grasp their opportunities because they regularly and systematically watch developments on the market and then have the antennae to exploit or even initiate a trend at an early stage are often even more successful than strategists who operate on the basis of a pre-defined plan.
The decisive factor is to promote management sensitivity to strategic subjects and introduce a constant and open dialogue.
JP-Consulting will support the design and implementation of your strategy development and promote the strategic dialogue in management — so that new ideas will get their chance but that careful consideration protects you against unnecessary risks. And so that implementation of the strategy leads to tangible results.
Speed is more important than ever in developing and implementing the strategy. The dynamic international environment places the focus more on learning during implementationthan on detailed and elaborate consideration and planning.
It is therefore important that the work on strategy is not complete as soon as a concept for the future has been decided on. It is much more a process of quickly drafting a practicable plan for the future, then executing this in a well-organised implementation process and tracking developments in continuous management reviews so that if necessary it is possible to carry out any fine tuning that is required.
JP-Consulting & Training will ensure the success of your strategy implementation.
